Life Lessons
Once all the villagers decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer all the people gathered, but only one boy came with an umbrella. That’s FAITH.
When you throw a baby in the air, she laughs because she knows you will catch her. That’s TRUST.
Every night we go to bed without any assurance of being alive the next morning, but we still set the alarms. That’s’ HOPE.
We plan big things for tomorrow in spite of zero knowledge of the future. That’s CONFIDENCE.
We see the world suffering, and relationships struggling, but still we get married. That’s LOVE.
Even though we don’t always agree with our government or trust every politician, we still vote and serve our country. That’s PATRIOTISM.
Even though a church is made up of people with different backgrounds, jobs, neighborhoods, and dreams, we are all still united in our beliefs. That’s FAMILY.
Even though America has enemies, and tensions exist on many levels, we face each day with the same resolve and goal—to be free. That’s COURAGE.
Even though we might lose our job, or lose our health or lose our friends, or lose our money, we press on and never give up. That’s PERSISTENCE.
Even though we have a track record of poor choices, and wish we could take back some things we have said or done, we know we have a God who loves us, forgives us, and even died on the cross for us. That’s JESUS.
